Job sharing service

Older versions of JS Jobs had a Sharing Service: with an authentication key from Joomsky, your site subscribed to a Joomsky sharing server and exchanged jobs, companies, resumes and the lookup lists with other JS Jobs sites. Its screens were Sharing Service → Job Sharing (subscribe and unsubscribe) and Job Share Log (a record of each exchange).

What this means on your site:

  • Sharing Service, Job Sharing and Job Share Log are not in the JS Jobs menu (the menu entries are switched off in the code).
  • The Job Sharing tab of Configurations, with its default country, state and city for shared jobs, never appears, because it is shown only to a subscribed site and no site can subscribe any more. Those three settings (default_sharing_country, default_sharing_state, default_sharing_city) are empty by default and have no effect.
  • The old screens still open if you type their address (option=com_jsjobs&c=jobsharing&view=jobsharing&layout=jobshare or layout=jobsharelog), but the subscription form cannot subscribe your site, and the log has nothing to show.

You don’t need to do anything about it. Jobs, companies and resumes on your site are not sent anywhere.
