Packages, social sharing and RSS

These three sections are part of the same page as General in Components → JS Jobs → Configurations. Pick one from the list on the left, and click Save Configurations to save every section of the page at once.

Packages decide how many companies, jobs, resumes and other items a user can add. The packages themselves are covered in the Packages and payments section of these docs.

Setting Default What it does
Package Required For Employer No Yes makes employers work within a package: before adding a company, job, department or other item, JS Jobs checks that their package allows it. No lets employers add as much as they like.
Auto Assign Package To Employer None A free employer package given to each new employer when they take the employer role. The list offers your free packages, and No for none.
Employer Get Free Package Once Yes Yes lets an employer take a free package only once.
Employer Free Package Auto Approve Yes Yes makes a free package an employer takes usable at once. No leaves it waiting for your approval.
Package Required For Job Seeker No The same as for employers, for job seekers: with Yes, adding a resume or cover letter, searching jobs and similar actions are checked against their package.
Auto Assign Package To Job Seeker None A free job seeker package given to each new job seeker.
Job Seeker Get Free Package Once Yes Yes lets a job seeker take a free package only once.
Job Seeker Free Package Auto Approve Yes Yes makes a free package a job seeker takes usable at once.

The setup wizard also asks whether to give new users a package, and fills in the two Auto Assign settings from your answer.

The Social Links tab is a set of tick boxes, all ticked on a new install. Each one adds a sharing button or box to a job’s page, so job seekers can pass the job on.

Box What it adds
Facebook Likes A Facebook Like button.
Facebook Comments A Facebook comments box under the job.
Facebook Share A Facebook share button.
Google Likes, Google Share Google buttons. These two appear only on the job’s print view.
Blogger, Friend Feed Share, Linked-in Share, Digg Share, Twitter Share, Myspace Share, Yahoo Share A share button for each of those services.

Untick a box and save to remove that button.

JS Jobs publishes two feeds: one of jobs and one of resumes. Feed readers find them at index.php?option=com_jsjobs&c=rss&view=rss&layout=rssjobs&format=rss and ...&layout=rssresumes&format=rss on your site.
