JS Accessibility Fixer comes in English and German. Its screens follow the administrator language of each user, set in their user profile or under System → Manage → Languages. For any other administrator language, the screens are in English.

Suggestions are written in the language of the content they are for, not the administrator’s language:

  • An article, module or category set to German gets German alt text and link text.
  • Content set to All languages gets suggestions in the site’s default language.
  • On a multilingual site, each language version gets suggestions in its own language. With Pro, alt text accepted for an image in one language is translated for the others.

The AI providers write many languages, so this works for content in other languages too, such as French or Spanish.

Unclear link text such as “click here”, “read more”, “hier klicken” or “weiterlesen” is recognised in English and German. Links in other languages are still checked for having no text at all.

The accessibility statement and the client report each have their own language setting, English or German. They are written in that language, including headings, dates and the names of fixes, whatever language you use in the administrator. So an agency working in English can give a German client a German report.
