Shops and job boards
Product descriptions and job listings are written by people, in an editor, just like articles. They have the same problems: images without alt text, “click here” links, tables without headers. Pro checks and fixes them like articles.
| Extension | What is checked | Which ones |
|---|---|---|
| HikaShop | The product description | Published main products. A variant uses its main product’s description. |
| VirtueMart | The short description and the product description, in every shop language | Published products |
| JS Jobs | The job description, qualifications, preferred skills and how to apply | Approved jobs |
Nothing to set up
Section titled “Nothing to set up”You don’t turn these on. When the extension is installed and enabled, the next scan includes it. If it isn’t installed, or is turned off, it is skipped, and nothing else changes. JS Accessibility Fixer reads their tables directly; it doesn’t need any of their code, and none of them is required.
VirtueMart 4 runs on Joomla 5. On Joomla 6, VirtueMart is checked once a version for Joomla 6 is installed.
In the Fix Queue
Section titled “In the Fix Queue”Products and jobs appear in the Fix Queue like articles, with their name and a link to edit them in their own extension. You suggest, accept, reject and undo fixes the same way.
For VirtueMart, each shop language is a separate place, so a product’s English and German descriptions are listed apart, and each gets suggestions in its own language. With One image, one fix, accepted alt text for an image is translated for the other language.
Accepting needs the right to edit the product or job in its extension. Shop products and jobs have no versions in Joomla, so use the History to undo a fix.
Check on save
Section titled “Check on save”Products and jobs are checked by the full scan and the monthly scan, not when they are saved.
